BIOGRAPHY
Andie Macdowell is one of the actresses who started her career as a model. Noticed by Calvin Klein, she starred for the latter in a series of advertising spots. In 1984, she landed her first role in Greystoke, the Legend of Tarzan alongside Christophe Lambert , then followed four years later with Sex, Lies and Video by Steven Soderbergh . The film, which received the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, revealed Andie MacDowell to the general public and propelled her to stardom overnight.
From now on, she plays alongside the greatest actors such as Gérard Depardieu in Green Card , or Bruce Willis in Hudson Hawk , and tours under the direction of Robert Altman in The Player . Convinced of her talent, the latter offered her the role of Ann Finnigan in Short cuts in 1993, a dramatic comedy bringing together Jack Lemmon , Julianne Moore , Tim Robbins , Madeleine Stowe …
