There has been a minor cabinet reshuffle in Katsina State as Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda announced the swapping of positions for two commissioners.
A statement released on Monday revealed that the Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development, Yusuf Rabiu Jirdede, will now take over the position previously held by his counterpart in the Ministry of Rural and Social Development, Aliyu Lawal Zakari.
In addition to this, Governor Radda approved the appointment of Lawal Attahiru Bakori as the new General Manager of Katsina State Radio Service.
Bakori takes over from Abba Dayyabu Safana, the former General Manager, who has been appointed as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Engagement.
Beginning his career in the State Radio Service in 1988, Bakori rose through the ranks to become the Manager of Programmes and later held the positions of Press Secretary to the Governor of Katsina State in 2003 and Special Assistant on Media to the President in 2007.
In 2021, he became the Director of Programmes at the State Radio and retired as Director on GL 16.
