It has been reported that the Delta State Police command has apprehended two suspected notorious armed robbers, Patrick Emete and Alex Uwagbafor, for their alleged involvement in the burglary at the Redeem Christian Church of God, also known as “Dominion Mega,” located in Orerokpe Local Government Area of the state.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the arrests in a statement issued on Sunday. He revealed that the suspects stole several church musical instruments during the operation on November 17.

After receiving a report about the robbery incident, the DPO in Orerokpe Division, CSP Paul Obaware, quickly mobilized and led his operatives to the scene of the crime to plan and execute an operation based on the items that were stolen.

As a result, Patrick Emete was found to have posted one of the stolen amplifiers for sale on his Facebook page. Detectives posed as buyers, lured and trailed the suspect, leading to his apprehension at Effurun Roundabout on November 19. Following the confession of Patrick Emete, his associate, Alex Uwagbafor, was also arrested.

According to the preliminary investigation, the suspects are known for their involvement in burglaries at churches, shops, and homes. The police recovered numerous items from the suspects, including loudspeakers, mixers, amplifiers, generator sets, keyboards, fans, power amplifiers, music instruments, electronics, and other valuables.
