Chaka Zulu, manager of Ludacris, asserts self-defense following arrest for murder

Chaka Zulu, a music executive, has been implicated in a murder case following a fatal triple shooting in Atlanta.

TMZ has reported that Zulu, who surrendered himself last week at the Fulton County Jail, maintains that his actions were in self-defense.

He alleges that he was confronted by a group of individuals outside a restaurant in June, who aggressively pushed him to the ground and assaulted him with their fists and feet.

Chaka, who manages the rapper Ludacris, claims that one of the attackers shot him in the chest, prompting him to defend himself by retrieving a gun and fatally shooting the assailant. He sustained critical injuries at the time but has since recovered. Another man was also shot during the altercation.

In addition to murder, he has been charged with aggravated assault, simple battery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

He has been released on bail amounting to $200,000.
