Christopher James Berman of Connecticut was born May 10, 1955. He is the son of James Kleiner Berman and Peggy Shevell. Although born in Greenwich, Chris grew up mostly in Irvington, New York. He had a comfortable upbringing as his father was an executive while his mother was a journalist. For his academic records, the journalist first attended the Hackley School and then studied history at the renowned Brown University. The impact caused Kathy to veer off the road and land in a nearby lake, while Edward’s car slammed into a pole. Berman’s wife was pronounced dead at the scene, while Bertulis, who was reportedly on his way from his wife’s gravesite, was taken to Waterbury Hospital. Unfortunately, the 87-year-old later died from his multiple injuries.
Hours later, Chris Berman learned of Kathy’s death while enjoying a baseball game. The incident undoubtedly left a major scar on Berman’s life, and for now it’s uncertain if the sportswriter will ever open up about love again. While Chris isn’t completely ruling out the possibility of a tryst, it’s currently believed he’s healing well while he focuses on his career.
