BIOGRAPHY
Dave Filoni graduated from Edinboro University in Pennsylvania in 1996. He was part of the animation staff on The Oblongs (2001) and Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) before becoming a director on episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender. (2005). His work there led Lucasfilm Animation to hire him to supervise the direction of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008). Later, he was one of the creators of Star Wars Rebels (2014), which continued the character arc of fan favorite Ahsoka Tano, originally introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008). Filoni is also credited as one of the writers and executive producers of the web series Star Wars Forces of Destiny , and as the creator of the animated series Star Wars Resistance (2018-2020). In 2017, Jon Favreau invited Filoni to work with him to create The Mandalorian (2019-2020), a live-action Star Wars television series appearing on Disney+. Filoni is an executive producer of the show, as well as director of episodes 1 and 5 of season 1 and episode 5 of season 2.
