Arsenal’s forward, Bukayo Saka, has showered praise on his teammate and club captain, Martin Odegaard, following the midfielder’s recent contract extension with the Premier League North London club.
Saka expressed that Odegaard holds great importance for Arsenal and conveyed his happiness for the former Real Madrid star.
It should be noted that Odegaard recently signed a new five-year contract with Arsenal, securing his stay until 2028.
Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League derby against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, Saka, as quoted on the club’s official website, said: “He [Odegaard] is truly invaluable, not only as a player but also as a leader. He demonstrates leadership in a unique manner, which I really appreciate and respect.”
“We are all aware of his remarkable skills in creating and scoring goals, and he embodies the captain we all adore,” Saka added.
“I don’t mind being stuck with him! I am delighted for him, and he genuinely deserves this new contract,” he further emphasized.
Odegaard joined Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2021 for a fee of £30 million.
