The inspirational sportswoman was born on May 25, 1987 in Minnesota. She attended Champlin Park High School before studying broadcast journalism at the University of Southern California.

Hersch has always been interested in sports from a young age. She started figure skating in high school. She also served as a reporter at school football games, conducting interviews with parents, players, and coaches, and broadcasting them on the school news network.

Thereafter, she began sending samples of her work to the Minnesota State High School League. His work resonated with them greatly and he was asked to report on national football, basketball and hockey tournaments, much of which later aired on select local networks in 2004 and 2005.

Jamie Hersch started working as a journalist in Wisconsin. She became a jack of all trades, taking her own photos, editing them, shooting videos and producing her own interviews. While attending USC, where she later graduated with honors, she began interning at Annenberg TV News. She worked there as an anchor and journalist for two years.

She then moved to WKOW-TV, working as a multimedia reporter and weekend news anchor while reporting breaking news. She built her career covering some of the most notable teams in the country, including the Packers, Badgers and Brewers, as well as frontline events like the 2012 Rose Bowl and Super Bowl XLV.

Hersch hit the peak of her career when she landed a job as a sideline reporter and studio host for FOX Sports. She worked there for two years before flying to Kuwait to report on NHL players teaching soldiers deployed overseas how to play hockey.

Her versatile reporting skills have also helped her land jobs with MLB and NHL networks, hosting sports shows and covering important events. Currently, she hosts
a post-game recap and analysis for the NHL titled On the Fly, occasionally anchoring NHL Tonight. Jamie Hersch has won several awards for his work, including Outstanding Specialty Programming, Regional Emmy and Second Best Reporting.

Hersch was born to a father named James, he was a musician and composer, and a mother named Candy. Her parents had two children, her and her brother, Jonathan. Her family was quite close while she was growing up and still remains so to this day.

There’s a bit of sad news for fans who are hoping to one day be Hersch’s romantic partner; the gorgeous journalist has already been hitched. She met her husband, Matt Burkhard, when they were both at USC. They dated the couple for six years before getting engaged in 2011 and finally saying “I Do” on June 15, 2012.

Her husband studied kinesiology in college and currently works for Flatiron Health as an account manager, but not much else is known about him. The couple enjoys sharing beautiful moments of their fabulous relationship on social media, and their romance doesn’t seem to be ending any time soon.
