BIOGRAPHY
Jodhi May is an English stage, film and television actress. Her first performance was at the age of 12 for A World Apart (1988), playing the role of Molly Roth. For this role she received a Best Actress award at the 1988 Cannes Film Festival, which she shared with her co-stars Barbara Hershey and Linda Mvusi. Jodhi remains the youngest recipient of the Best Actress award at this Festival. Although she took a brief hiatus from acting while studying English at Wadham College, Oxford, she has had almost constant appearances since her debut and can be seen regularly in film, television and on the British stage. She played Alice Munro in Michael Mann’s The Last of the Mohicans (1992), Lea Papin in Sister My Sister (1994), Anne Boleyn in the first adaptation of The Other Boleyn Girl (2003), and Janet Stone in the film I, Anna (2012). May will play the role of Queen Calanthe in the new Netflix fiction The Witcher .
