If you’re a regular viewer of The View on ABC, then you’ve not only seen Paula Faris, but you know her well. The TV correspondent was until 2013 a co-anchor of the network news programs World News Now and America This Morning on
In 2014, she was promoted to co-host Hello Weekend America after which Faris became a permanent co-host of The View – another talk show airing on ABC.

Paula Faris grew up in Jackson, Michigan and attended Jackson Christian School. For her college education, she studied at Cedarville University where she earned a degree in broadcasting with a major in television production.
During her days at Cedarville University, she worked behind the scenes with a local cable company. After graduating in 1997, she moved to Columbus, Ohio, where she held down several jobs to make ends meet. She worked at a video production agency, then at Arby’s and cleaned apartments.
She soon quit her job at the video production agency and moved to an advertising agency, after a few months she left the company and headed to Dayton where she started teaching as a substitute. Always interested in current events, Faris moved from one television station to another in search of an opportunity. After a while, she landed a job as a production assistant with a local NBC affiliate, WKEF/WRGT.
Even as a production assistant, she occasionally reported and anchored. Between 2002 and 2005, she anchored weekend and weekday sports at WCPO-TV in Cincinnati.
After her contract expired, she worked as a sports reporter and anchor at WMAQ-TV Chicago (another NBC affiliate) before joining ABC in 2012, where she began co-anchoring. World News Now and America This Morning.
During this time, she was on a mission and also occasionally appeared as a stand-in on Good Morning America. She was soon appointed New York correspondent for all ABC News programs.
Following Bianna Golodryga’s departure to Yahoo News in 2014, ABC News announced the promotion of Paula Faris to Good Morning America ‘s weekend co-anchor . In 2015 , she joined The View as a co-host for season 19. The following year, her contract being renewed for its twentieth season, she was still the main presenter of the talk show.
