Robert Bartleh Cummings, known as Rob Zombie , is an American musician, producer, director and screenwriter, born on January 12, 1965, in Haverhill, Massachusetts, United States. He and his brother, Michael, grew up traveling by road to various states in the country, because his parents worked at a fair. Both brothers shared a love for counterculture, B movies, western movies, comics and classic monsters, also coinciding in their musical tastes, which ranged from Judas Priest to the Ramones, from Alice Cooper to Black Sabbath. , among others. Rob and Michael dropped out of school to pursue different paths, Michael became the singer of the band Powerman 5000 , adopting the name Spider One and Rob, before music, was a production assistant on the television series Pee-wee’s Playground (1986), where he met bassist Sean Yseult, with whom he founded the band White Zombie, a name inspired by the film starring Bela Lugosi. The band enjoyed quite a bit of success in its last stage, before breaking up and each member going their separate ways. Rob began producing music as a solo artist, achieving enormous success with his first album Hellbilly Deluxe in 1998, which he also took advantage of to direct several music videos for his own songs, such as Dragula, Superbeast and Living Dead Girl .
