The presidency: An inside look at Kanye West’s battle with bipolar disorder from his running mate, Michelle Tidball

Kanye West’s vice-presidential pick, Michelle Tidball, has provided insight into the rapper’s struggle with bipolar disorder following his recent Twitter outbursts.

The 57-year-old biblical life coach and dental worker, chosen by West earlier this month, assured that the billionaire rapper is doing well and that his tweets are not a cause for concern.

West, who suffers from bipolar disorder, began posting distressing tweets at the start of the week.

In one tweet, he mentioned wanting to divorce his wife Kim Kardashian after she met Meek Mill at a hotel for prison reform. He also referred to his mother-in-law Kris Jenner as ‘Kris Jong-Un,’ a nod to the North Korean dictator.

Ms. Tidball was seen outside the dental practice where she works on Wednesday afternoon and asserted that the 43-year-old is ‘fine.’

Tidball said of the rapper, ‘He’s great. He’s really great. There’s nothing to worry about. He really is just fine.’

When asked about her intention to continue as his running mate for the 2020 presidential election, Tidball declined to comment but mentioned she would be releasing a statement soon.

She said, ‘I can’t comment on that [the run for office] right now. I’m going to be making a statement very soon.’

Yesterday, Kim Kardashian shared a statement on her Instagram stories addressing her husband’s mental health and his experience with bipolar disorder.

In the statement, the reality star suggested that Kanye’s battle with bipolar disorder is influencing his ongoing Twitter rants, but she made no mention of the divorce amid claims that she is meeting with lawyers to discuss a possible divorce. Read here.
