Duncan Walker Bannatyne, OBE, born on 2 February 1949, hails from Scotland and is known as an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and author. His diverse business ventures encompass hotels, health clubs, spas, media, TV, stage schools, property, and transport. He gained fame through his role as a business angel on the BBC’s program, Dragons’ Den. In acknowledgment of his charitable contributions, he was appointed an OBE. Bannatyne has authored seven books, including “Anyone Can Do It”, “Wake Up and Change Your Life”, “How to be Smart With Your Money”, “How to be Smart With Your Time”, “43 Mistakes Businesses Make”, “37 Questions Everyone in Business Needs to Answer”, and “Riding The Storm”. In May 2013, reports surfaced that Bannatyne’s company was £122m in debt, although he asserted that the company’s assets amounted to £230m.
