The mugshot of Canadian rapper, Rapper Tory Lanez, has been released following his transfer to a state prison after being convicted of shooting fellow hip-hop artist Megan Thee Stallion.
Lanez, 31, was found guilty of the shooting and was given a 10-year jail sentence by a judge. His appeal for release was recently denied by a judge, citing his past court order violations, violent felony conviction, and non-US citizenship as reasons.
Tory Lanez has been transferred to state prison and had to pose for a new mugshot.
He completed his check-in on Tuesday, September 19, at the North Kern State Prison in Delano, California, which is around 145 miles from Los Angeles.
Lanez received a 10-year jail sentence for shooting rapper Megan Thee Stallion in the foot.
Prior to sentencing, prosecutors had requested a 13-year jail term for the rapper.
In court, he was accused of re-traumatizing Megan with several social media posts about the case and inciting online anger towards her.
