BIOGRAPHY
Actress Maura Tierney was born on February 3, 1965 in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. She is the eldest of three children, she entered New York University but left school before completing her studies to join the Circle-in-the-Squar theater school. He began to participate in some works such as “Baby with the Bathwater” and “Danny and the Deep Blue Sea”, and continued with small participations in films and television programs such as Problems Grow (1985), Family Entanglements ( 1982 ) and Law and order (1990). Finally she debuted on the big screen with the film Encadenadamente tuya (1991), which was followed by projects such as Dead Women in Lingerie (1991), Compulsive liar (1997), The two faces of the truth (1996), Primary Colors (1998 ), Instinct (1999), Insomnia (2002), Welcome to Mooseport (2004), Mom on Demand (2008), Nature calls (2012) and Anything (2017). She has participated in series such as Radio Days , Rescue Me , The Good Wife and The Affair . Her performance as Dr. Abby Lockhart on ER (1994) earned her an Emmy Award nomination. Her film work includes films such as White Sands (1992), The Root of Fear (1996) and Forces of Nature (1999). Among her most recent projects are the films Beautiful Boy , starring Steve Carell and Timothée Chalamet, and The Torture Report.
