BIOGRAPHY
Originally from Martinique, Yannig Samot’s family has lived in Paris for three generations. From his paternal grandfather, who arrived in the French capital in 1933, he retains a particular appetite for West Indian dishes. Passionate about good food, the young man opened no less than three restaurants in Paris: La Famille , Le Chéri Bibi and Le Cul de Poule . On this momentum, he launched his own catering business specializing in mozzarella and other good artisanal products. Several recipe books followed, always with the aim of sharing his passion for gastronomy.

At the same time, Yannig Samot has a career as an actor. While performing on stage at the theater, the artist plays supporting roles in front of the camera. The public can see him in 2009 in The Beautiful Gosses , then Les Papas du Dimanche or 30° Couleur . From 2013, he was the father of Rayane Bensetti in the short program Pep’s . The popularity of the TF1 shortcom allowed him to land a role in La mantis , the thriller with Carole Bouquet and Fred Testot .

Luck smiled on him when he was selected to join the cast of Balthazar , the hit series with Tomer Sisley in the title role. Viewers discover him, in December 2018, in the shoes of Jérôme Delgado, lieutenant of the criminal police, who teams up with Captain Hélène Bach ( Hélène de Fougerolles ) in seasons 1 to 3, and Captain Camille Costes ( Constance Labbé ) in subsequent episodes. With participations in Falco , Munch , Commissioner Magellan , Hippocrates and Camping paradis , his face seems familiar.

After playing a winemaker in Jonathan Cohen ‘s crazy series , La Flamme , Yannig Samot is recurring in The School of Life and (Almost) Perfect Love .
