In the aftermath of their 1-1 draw with Liverpool in the Premier League, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has pinpointed a crucial area that his team needs to enhance.
The match saw goals from Gabriel Magalhães and Mohamed Salah, resulting in the sharing of a point between Liverpool and Arsenal at Anfield.
Despite securing the top position in the Premier League table at Christmas ahead of Liverpool, Arteta emphasized the need for improvements in his team’s ability to effectively close out games.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Arteta expressed, “There are some things we have to improve, especially in terms of finishing games with the level of dominance that we are exhibiting.”
He added, “At times, the results have been too narrow, requiring us to dig deep in the final few minutes to maintain the outcome, and that’s it, nothing more.”
