During a training session on Thursday, April 27, Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel expressed dissatisfaction with his players’ conduct by breaking a slalom pole out of frustration.
Eyewitnesses observed that the 49-year-old coach was not content with the way the Bayern stars performed in the final game on the small diamond field, a training form with cut corners. Tuchel attempted to rectify the attacking patterns and player movement multiple times, but to no avail. Ultimately, in sheer frustration, the former Chelsea boss grabbed a slalom pole and broke it with his knee while discussing the issue with his assistant coaches.
Thomas Tuchel is already under pressure at Bayern Munich, despite only having been in charge for seven games. The former Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain head coach has won just twice since taking over from Julian Nagelsmann.
As a result of their recent poor form, Borussia Dortmund now sits one point ahead of Bayern in the Bundesliga title race with five games remaining.
