Bundesliga: Boniface disappointed with missed chances against Bayern Munich

In the 2-2 draw between Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich on Friday night, Victor Boniface expressed his disappointment after failing to score.

Although the 22-year-old put up a solid display in the thrilling contest, he missed a couple of scoring opportunities.

Reflecting on his performance after the game, Boniface admitted that he should have scored one or two goals against the defending champions.

“It was simply one of those days where the ball refused to go in. That’s football, there are times when things just don’t go your way. After the game, I couldn’t even hear what the coach was saying because I was so focused on the fact that I should have scored one or two goals,” he told Sky.de.

So far this season, the Nigerian international has scored four goals and provided one assist in four league appearances for Die Werkself.

Despite the draw, Xabi Alonso’s team remains at the top of the table.
