Born on 4 March 1953 in Santiago de Cuba, Emilio Estefan is a versatile personality excelling as a musician, actor, producer, and much more. He is of Cuban-American heritage with Spanish, Lebanese, and Syrian roots. Estefan gained prominence as a founder of the Miami Latin Boys group.

The Miami Latin Boys group, established in 1975, gained popularity two years later when Gloria María Fajardo García joined the group. In 1978, the group was rebranded as Miami Sound Machine. Alongside his music career, Estefan pursued a career as a talent scout and producer for numerous music industry celebrities. He has also directed many television events, especially in the Hispanic television circuit, such as Nuestra Navidad, Showtime, The Latin Grammy’s, and The Hispanic Heritage Awards, among many others.
In 2008, Emilio made his directorial debut with documentaries. He continued to produce full-length documentaries and even the Broadway musical “On Your Feet!”. Besides his musical pursuits, Estefan is also an author. His first book “The Rhythm of Success – How An Immigrant Produced His Own American Dream” was published in 2010 and gained significant popularity. A year later, he co-authored another book “The Exile Experience: A Journey to Freedom” with writer Carlos Pintado and journalist Carlos Alberto Montaner, further adding to his net worth.
Estefan has also ventured into business, running Cuban-themed restaurants and bars in Miami Beach, and overseeing three hotels – Seminole Hard Rock Hotel, The Cardozo in Miami Beach, and Costa d’Este in Vero Beach, alongside his wife.
