Manchester United player Marcus Rashford faces £650,000 fine for attending nightclub

Following his attendance at a nightclub, Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford is set to receive a fine equivalent to two weeks’ salary, amounting to £650,000.

The Sun has reported that Manchester United has taken the decision to impose this substantial fine on Rashford for partying in Northern Ireland.

As a consequence of his actions, the England international missed out on training on Friday and was subsequently absent for Manchester United’s 4-2 victory against Newport County on Sunday, with the club attributing his absence to illness, despite evidence of his presence at a Belfast nightclub.

Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, has publicly stated that he will address the matter. However, he has not confirmed whether Rashford misled him regarding the nightclub visit.

Following Manchester United’s triumph over Newport County, Ten Hag addressed Rashford’s absence in his post-match press conference, saying, “He reported ill, for the rest, it’s an internal matter, I’ll deal with it.”
