Mr Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the last presidential election, disclosed on Sunday that he has been facing threats due to his refusal of tempting offers.
Obi stated his readiness to face any challenges that come his way.
He did not disclose the identities of the parties or individuals behind the offers.
Obi made these revelations during his appearance as a guest on X Space organized by “ParallelFacts”.
He emphasized that he is unafraid of death and is committed to staying on the right path.
“I can tell you that the offers I receive today are incredibly tempting. On the flip side, the threats I face for rejecting these offers are equally daunting. But I am prepared to face anything.”
“As I always tell people, when they say, ‘Peter, you’re risking your life,’ if I pass away in my sixties, I would not have died young. Some individuals pass away in their twenties, thirties, and forties. I also have children who are now graduates and pursuing their own endeavors.”
“If my time comes today, I am at peace with that, as long as I remain steadfast in the principles I have upheld since the day I entered into politics.”
“I will always stay on the right path,” he affirmed.
